Thankful...

Summer has come and gone in a flash. Here we are celebrating Thanksgiving, already. Spending time with family & friends and the smell of turkey wafting throughout the house is unlike any other cozy feeling in the world. Its my favorite time of the year. There is a beautiful big basket of market fresh apples on the back porch, mums and pumpkins decorating the gardens, gorgeous golden retriever mucking about in the yard, colourful maple leaves blanket the grass and the smell of autumn in the air is so darn intoxicating!
This is exactly where I am meant to be at this moment...in full autumn bliss appreciating all that surrounds me. I am thankful for my wonderful husband, our little furry family, our beautiful home, our family and friends, my new fabulous career move and all that is abundant in my life. I am truly thankful.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Creative Road Block...

Time flies when work outside my sewing studio consumes me. I miss my hours upon hours of sewing, designing and creating. There's a void in my heart and I've been feeling a bit lost lately. But on the up and up, I think I'm going to make a come back. I've got some new designs up my sleeve and within the coming weeks I will be updating my website and my etsy shop. I'd like to think the gorgeous spring weather has something to do with it. Or maybe it was our recent trip to beautiful Jamaica? I think so. As they say about leaving a piece of your heart in San Francisco, which I have...I have also left a piece of my heart in Jamaica. What a beautiful country it is and the people that live there are just as beautiful inside and out. I promise to return.

Snow Hank!

Winter! Beautiful, white, crisp Canadian winter. Oh how I've missed thee! I couldn't be more serious when I say I've been absolutely, whole heartily craving a good 'ol fashioned Canadian winter. I guess the mucky brown Christmas of 2011 is what got to me and I haven't let up on my demands of Mother Nature. Finally...February 11, 2012 is when she heard me and graciously answered.
Yeeeeeeeeee haaaaaawwwwwwwww! Winter!
Other than the crazy man who was driving way too fast and spun round and round directly in front of us atop the Burlington skyway yesterday, its been a sweet, snowy weekend!
Who knew one could have so much fun in the backyard with their crazy golden retriever?! Here he is yesterday and today. Time flies...Hank is 3 and a half years old and more beautiful than ever.
